Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Jämjö IFK's Pelle Flinck started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Ludwig Waller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 7 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. 8 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Olof Wennerström came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Jämjö IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Hedling didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 15th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 minutes Jämjö IFK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Tasis who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Aaron Alcocer heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 29 minutes into the match, Jämjö IFK's Henning Bodin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st minute Pelle Flinck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42ndth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jämjö IFK's Dan Bergstedt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dan Bergstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexander Carballo charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Carballo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Alexander Carballo hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. When Axel Tasis came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Tasis couldn't finish the play. Dan Bergstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 53rd minute of play. Eliseo Noboa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Dan Bergstedt made a huge save. A collision led to Jämjö IFK getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Pelle Flinck hit a great ball. In the 58th match minute, Jämjö IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henning Bodin to maneuver through the defense. After 61 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. Dan Bergstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 68th minute of play. Jämjö IFK's Dan Bergstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Lautaro Puig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball. Alan Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a rather tough play, Jämjö IFK's Olof Wennerström got a free kick in the 90th minute.
