Fuerza Amarilla's Sanchez Vagrande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zacharias Iosifakis in the 18th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Fuerza Amarilla's zone, Toño Saura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sanchez Vagrande came out of the goal and Toño Saura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Daniel Alcubierre made the kick off in the second half. Genílson Loyola made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Urritz Nogueira sent off a good shot on target.
