Horacio Lalla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horacio Lalla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. CERVEZA CALIENTE's Horacio Lalla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 16th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Youri De Poorter, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Mariano Cordero threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eliseo Mina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Horacio Lalla having to make a save. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Eustacio Gora made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 38th minute of play forced CERVEZA CALIENTE's goalkeeper Horacio Lalla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horacio Lalla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horacio Lalla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Milagros Fraga came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milagros Fraga couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute, Rafael Gallo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horacio Lalla was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camilo Enaut in the 96th minute of the match. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
