The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Axel Montenegro who after having made a long run got a chance for a shot on goal. Despite a couple of nice moves Ciriaco Selmo's wasn't to be fooled and made an easy save when Axel Montenegro was beeing forced to shoot. In the 19th minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Axel Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Fabio Filipo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Uzcudun AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Ciriaco Selmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Fabio Filipo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uzcudun AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio Filipo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute Fabio Filipo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Fabio Filipo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Filipo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Filipo in the 42nd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. Colombia's Luis Cazalla managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dalmacio Flor in the 51 minute of the game. Abram Sarmiento received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ciriaco Selmo came out and tried to block the shot, but Abram Sarmiento slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 56th minute. Bernardo Telo hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Kevin Mastache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Beto Acosta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Acosta in the 64th minute of the match. Ciriaco Selmo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Uzcudun AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kevin Mastache ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Colombia's Abram Secada getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Beto Acosta scored 3-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 84th minute of play forced Uzcudun AFC's goalkeeper Ciriaco Selmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uzcudun AFC's Ciriaco Selmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 85th minute of play. A hard shot 90 in the game by Abram Secada from a close distance when the talented Ciriaco Selmo managed to make a qualified save. Uzcudun AFC's players were relieved. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 92nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Abram Secada might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ciriaco Selmo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abram Secada ran back to his position shaking his head. Abram Secada came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ciriaco Selmo could save by the left post. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
