When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Quilo Sobera sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Matias Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. António Roma acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 40th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alberto Gisbert. In the 41st minute, Quilo Sobera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Quilo Sobera took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. Quilo Sobera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Quilo Sobera hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quilo Sobera in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clodoveo Paul, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute.
