Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stein Spoelberch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diederik Temmerman might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diederik Temmerman ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 10th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stein Spoelberch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Patricio Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stein Spoelberch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stein Spoelberch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Pieter Van Landewijck in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas. With an all-out effort, Club Brugge's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from 孔磊傲, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when King Eken tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute, Gunter Mesmaekers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by 孔磊傲 in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stein Spoelberch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diederik Temmerman kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stein Spoelberch having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when King Eken got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Gunter Mesmaekers's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gunter Mesmaekers helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Club Brugge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunter Mesmaekers to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute King Eken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stein Spoelberch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes Club Brugge's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stein Spoelberch quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 73 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. 86 minutes in the game, Patricio Costa fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Stein Spoelberch having to interfere. Jan-Simon Elsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jan-Simon Elsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Brugge.
