Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emerson Leão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Emerson Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 12th minute of play. Colombia's Abram Sarmiento managed to work through CANIL VON ZAATARI™️'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Abram Sarmiento dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The supporters of Colombia booed when CANIL VON ZAATARI™️ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Bizet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Shantala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Osvaldo Shantala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Bizet kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Colombia's Axel Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emerson Leão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emerson Leão was a little too slow when Axel Montenegro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-1. Axel Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Emerson Leão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. CANIL VON ZAATARI™️'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Axel Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Emerson Leão, making the score, 2-1. After having played for 35 minutes, Abram Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abram Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Shantala in the 37th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Carballar in the 42nd minute of play forced CANIL VON ZAATARI™️'s goalkeeper Emerson Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inácio Bueno hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vicente Varela's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vicente Varela stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santino Seco to maneuver through the defense. When Osvaldo Shantala came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the CANIL VON ZAATARI™️ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Shantala couldn't finish the play. Pedro Manzanares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sydney Quirino showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 56 minute of play. Vicente Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Luiz Bizet sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Colombia's Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move.
