Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Pieter Van Landewijck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. King Eken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stein Spoelberch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 9 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stein Spoelberch stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Joshua Secada hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when King Eken tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, King Eken took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Stein Spoelberch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Salvador Gisbert hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, 孔磊傲 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 31st minute of play forced Club Brugge's goalkeeper Stein Spoelberch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Brugge's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. In the 36th minute, King Eken left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Brugge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 46 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute, Pieter Van Landewijck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 孔磊傲 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 55th minute. A collision led to Club Brugge getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Nickolas Gielens hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from King Eken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stein Spoelberch having to interfere. King Eken scored 5-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Club Brugge booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 孔磊傲 in the 80th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Club Brugge's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stein Spoelberch came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gunter Mesmaekers in the 87 minute of the game. Pieter Van Landewijck scored 6-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
