Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rafael Figueroa in the 18 minute of the game. 21 minutes into the match, Mapovihesa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Constantin Potocianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Usain Bolt in the 23rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Usain Bolt might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Usain Bolt ran back to his position shaking his head. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Usain Bolt in the 26th minute of play. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mapovihesa FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Mapovihesa FC's Argenis Garay got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 47 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Alonso Berganza. The audience thought a goal was coming when Usain Bolt got free with Rolando Noboa in the 49th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 56th minute of play forced Mapovihesa FC's goalkeeper Constantin Potocianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Constantin Potocianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 59th minute of play. Constantin Potocianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Mapovihesa FC fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Mapovihesa FC's Usain Bolt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mapovihesa FC made a substitution. Raimundo Erramu replaced Álvaro Prata. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimundo Erramu in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Luz Tejedor kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Constantin Potocianu. That made the score 2-1 in the 72 minute of play. In the 78th match minute, Mapovihesa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcial Iratze to maneuver through the defense. Usain Bolt took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Constantin Potocianu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mina in the 88th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Usain Bolt, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Rafael Figueroa made in the 91st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Argenis Garay hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Constantin Potocianu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Tenorio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 98 minutes, Antonio Tenorio put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Constantin Potocianu. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Mapovihesa FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Peru for much of the match.
