In the 15th match minute, Fútbol Club Insaar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caitano Fuentes to maneuver through the defense. Musa Kelim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Guo Zhou Feng came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fútbol Club Insaar's Musa Kelim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of play. Caitano Fuentes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Guo Zhou Feng scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-0. 39 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caitano Fuentes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caitano Fuentes got free with Julio Vera in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fútbol Club Insaar's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pes Villarias in the 40th minute. A nice corner shot did that Humberto Pereira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 46 minutes into the match, Fútbol Club Insaar's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Musa Kelim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Musa Kelim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute.
