To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 34th minute of play forced Deportivo Tood's goalkeeper Eleuterio Loramendi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Chicote made in the 51st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Alex Chicote immediately put the ball in play. 53 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ramón Díaz came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Cornelio Macias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Tood's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Cornelio Macias kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Deportivo Tood's Saul Martino was substituted for Ramón Díaz. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. During the 70th minute of the match Cornelio Macias completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. In the 71st match minute, Deportivo Tood was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornelio Macias to maneuver through the defense. After 79 minutes of play, Deportivo Tood's Saul Martino made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 82 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. Eleuterio Loramendi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 92nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saul Martino, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
