The referee showed Felix Luque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Felix Luque hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Belgrano de Pibasog's Iulian Ilinca was substituted for Judas Verón. Leonardo Leoz hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After having played for 87 minutes, Iulian Ilinca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgrano de Pibasog's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iulian Ilinca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Belgrano de Pibasog throughout the match.
