In the 13th minute, Boudewijn Decoster ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Panama booed when 泾县Red-Star FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. 宋景渊 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dylan Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boudewijn Decoster, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 傅森岩 in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes in the game, Tomas Berganza dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 李斐昂 made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Abraham Alguacil sent off a good shot on target. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 75th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 李斐昂 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the 泾县Red-Star FC defense, Tomas Berganza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 李斐昂. The 泾县Red-Star FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 李斐昂 should have stopped the shot. 傅森岩 hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 李斐昂 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 82nd minute of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when 泾县Red-Star FC's Boudewijn Decoster in the 90th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Marcos Cotilla was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Panama through an amazing save. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 李斐昂 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 李斐昂 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
