Anderbye FC's Ander Bye played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 15th minute of play forced Anderbye FC's goalkeeper Ander Bye to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Anderbye FC got a freekick which was hit by Gilmar Pires. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elivélton Ferraz in the 18th minute. When Agustín Saelices fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Agustín Saelices a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Anderbye FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ander Bye saved Anderbye FC from getting behind. Reynaldo Maranhense hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Ander Bye made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 27th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Anderbye FC's Ander Bye. Ander Bye was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 35th minute, Subin Lago Filho made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 38th minute, Reynaldo Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Anderbye FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Subin Lago Filho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Fernando Vianna kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 40 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ander Bye came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. Rafa Pinho charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafa Pinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elivélton Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Anderbye FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Subin Lago Filho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Ander Bye made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 52nd minute. Ander Bye came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Ander Bye made a huge save. In the 62nd minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ander Bye. Ander Bye yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Ander Bye showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. When Subin Lago Filho fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Anderbye FC's protests and gave Subin Lago Filho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th minute of the match, Felix Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ander Bye was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ander Bye came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 80th minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lince Negro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elivélton Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute of the match, Cristian Sancho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ander Bye was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Anderbye FC's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ander Bye came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Anderbye FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
