The supporters of Acercate Y Patea de Lejos booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abram Secada didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Joshua Garrido got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Kraig Rowley might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pascual Carballar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emilio Munio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Kraig Rowley made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares.
