With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remo Dracena in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 7th minute AL TOKE FC were awarded a corner. Ture Dybro went to the cornerflag to take it. Jean-Paul van der Leegte kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 12thth minute of the game Remo Dracena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ture Dybro was slow to take the kick. During this time AL TOKE FC's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Ján Novák managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. If Jean-Paul van der Leegte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atilio Romagnoli hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Ermegildo Orti managed to get in a good position for a shot. AL TOKE FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermegildo Orti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Remo Dracena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 35th minute, AL TOKE FC's Ermegildo Orti dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 42nd minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Dracena in the 51st minute of play. Zeledon Mendez kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind AL TOKE FC's goalkeeper Denis Gilabert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remo Dracena in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Denis Gilabert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denis Gilabert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 75th minute of the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remo Dracena's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Denis Gilabert. AL TOKE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. AL TOKE FC's Remo Dracena got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Remo Dracena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. After 93 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ture Dybro who took care of the corner kick. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! In the 96th minute there was a penalty for AL TOKE FC. Ján Novák stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Julio Vera. 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ecuador players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AL TOKE FC.
