Noia's Norberto Villegas got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Noia's Silviu Miclea came free and shot a quick shot against goal 24 minutes in the game, fortunately Jonathan Ferrant had problems saving as it came toward the left post. When Pablo Acosta fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Noia's protests and gave Pablo Acosta a yellow card for diving instead. Noia:s Geovani Velloso showed great skill when he stopped Tomas Illescas:s penalty. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Norberto Villegas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Noia's Norberto Villegas got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silviu Miclea to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Geovani Velloso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tomas Illescas did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Geovani Velloso 53 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute Silviu Miclea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Saverio Amor was slow to take the kick. During this time Noia's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Noia's Falcão Peres to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 70th minute, Pablo Acosta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute of the match, Tomas Illescas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Geovani Velloso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 77th minute. The corner led Venezuela's Joshua Secada to fire away a dangerous shot which Geovani Velloso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
