Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remo Dracena in the 13th minute of play. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Denis Gilabert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Jean-Paul van der Leegte made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Felix Montes hit a great ball. In the 19th minute of the match, Ture Dybro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. AL TOKE FC's Denis Gilabert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Denis Gilabert. AL TOKE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Remo Dracena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Denis Gilabert was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 31 minutes into the game, Jean-Paul van der Leegte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AL TOKE FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When AL TOKE FC's Atilio Romagnoli in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. In the 47th minute, Ermegildo Orti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Denis Gilabert made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, AL TOKE FC's Denis Gilabert got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute, Daniel Zorita fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Denis Gilabert, passed just outside the right post. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Remo Dracena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. A collision led to AL TOKE FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Ture Dybro hit a great ball. If Remo Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Remo Dracena went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Remo Dracena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Remo Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Remo Dracena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Remo Dracena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Denis Gilabert. The goal made the score 2-3. AL TOKE FC's Javier Nikola was substituted for Atilio Romagnoli. 88 minutes into the match, AL TOKE FC's goalkeeper Denis Gilabert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. 91 minutes into the match, AL TOKE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Denis Gilabert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remo Dracena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Denis Gilabert was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than AL TOKE FC.
