Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Waldir Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute of play. Waldir Gaúcho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Gaúcho having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Valhalla Time's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Waldir Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Waldir Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waldir Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play. After 20 minutes Valhalla Time's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Agustín Saelices made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Valhalla Time's Waldir Gaúcho managed to reach the ball for a save. After 21 minutes, Amaury Hulsen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valhalla Time and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Waldir Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldir Gaúcho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Valhalla Time's Jimeno Santo got a free kick in the 35th minute. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Jimeno Santo kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. With his leg Waldir Gaúcho managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Felix Montes came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montes couldn't finish the play. Valhalla Time's Waldir Gaúcho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Valhalla Time from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amaury Hulsen in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 63rd minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 66thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Valhalla Time's keeper Waldir Gaúcho was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Valhalla Time's Waldir Gaúcho managed to reach the ball for a save. Waldir Gaúcho made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Felix Montenegro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Waldir Gaúcho firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Felix Montenegro took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Waldir Gaúcho to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Waldir Gaúcho in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Waldir Gaúcho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 85th minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aca Larroque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Felix Montes hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Valhalla Time defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waldir Gaúcho. The Valhalla Time fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldir Gaúcho should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amaury Hulsen in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
