In the 13th minute of the game Diego Bradley made a throw-in which Monty Rogers played forward. In the 16thth minute of the game Zacharias Iosifakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but USA's Marco Day was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 17th minute of play forced A Veces Menos Es Mas's goalkeeper Genílson Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 minutes A Veces Menos Es Mas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cassius Byrne who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of A Veces Menos Es Mas's goalie and right to Cassius Byrne. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Genílson Loyola successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 38 minutes, Zacharias Iosifakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A Veces Menos Es Mas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zacharias Iosifakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Diego Bradley in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by A Veces Menos Es Mas's Toño Saura. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cassius Byrne to make the kick off. After 89 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Khalid Parry. Gonzalo Mogel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Marco Day made a huge save. Despite being the better team, USA failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
