Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Décio Rola sent off a good shot on target. Guillermo Mariano made in the 5th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tomas Illescas immediately put the ball in play. Sjötorp IF's Roger Fagrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 5th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roger Fagrell. Sjötorp IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patricio Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 8th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Sjötorp IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Venezuela:s goal. Tomas Illescas placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The audience thought a goal was coming when Décio Rola got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, Décio Rola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Décio Rola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 27 minutes into the match, Décio Rola notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 30 minutes into the game, Décio Rola recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Décio Rola showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. In the 36th minute, Sjötorp IF's Décio Rola ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-1. After 38 played minutes Sjötorp IF got a freekick which was hit by Zeng Chao Zhen. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sjötorp IF were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Doni Muli took the corner. In the 54th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Décio Rola came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Sjötorp IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Décio Rola couldn't finish the play. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Qvarnström, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Décio Rola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Sjötorp IF's Décio Rola. But to his dismay, Décio Rola quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. 74 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Décio Rola came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 75th minute of the game was made by Doni Muli with Décio Rola as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Sjötorp IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Décio Rola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert Andersson kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the game, Sjötorp IF's Décio Rola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patricio Costa got free with Roger Fagrell in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Décio Rola in the 92nd minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sjötorp IF had played much better football throughout.
