An unexpectedly hard shot by Paco Everett in the 2nd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boroondara Milan's Bath Boyce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 4th minute of play. In the 9th minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bath Boyce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bath Boyce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Boroondara Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Bath Boyce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bath Boyce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 16th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arty Shearn in the 19th minute of play. Abraham Alguacil took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bath Boyce. Bath Boyce dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Kris Pearse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bath Boyce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 30th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Isidoro Sarmiento notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Boroondara Milan's Bath Boyce. Bath Boyce was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee felt a red card was in order, 43 minutes into the game, when Ned Mills put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of Boroondara Milan:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Panama:s goal. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for Panama. Abraham Alguacil stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bath Boyce. 0-4. The supporters of Panama booed when Boroondara Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paco Everett didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Boroondara Milan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Panama were winning 0-4.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Berganza made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Miguel Miralles took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Bath Boyce to make any attempt to save it. In the 56th minute, Felipe Ros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kris Pearse hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. When Alex Cambeiro came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Cambeiro couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute of the match, Abraham Alguacil got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bath Boyce was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Boroondara Milan getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Drake Sobczak hit a great ball. In the 69th minute of the match, Tomas Berganza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bath Boyce saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Bath Boyce to make any attempt to save it. 75 minutes into the match, Boroondara Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Bath Boyce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Drake Sobczak, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 86th match minute, Boroondara Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Drake Sobczak to maneuver through the defense. Bath Boyce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 88th minute of play. Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the game, Jose Carita threw the ball into play from the sideline. Boroondara Milan's Rolando Luckham quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jason Sperling kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The Boroondara Milan fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Panama were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
