Stefan Pierson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 minutes, İslam Hirfanlı made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17th minute, Brannik's İslam Hirfanlı dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. 23 minutes into the game, Brannik's Stefan Pierson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Stefan Pierson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 5-0. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domenico Knutson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stefan Pierson in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stefan Pierson had several of the Costa Rica's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 34 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 6-0 score and a disappointed Benito Sanz as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Robert Vincent took a quick shot and it went in 7-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lautaro Puig during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Moises Ponce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Brannik's Stefan Pierson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rickie Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 63rd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, İslam Hirfanlı managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brannik's supporters rose to their feet, but İslam Hirfanlı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Byron Tanner made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Lautaro Puig sent off a good shot on target. Stefan Pierson kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İslam Hirfanlı in the 80th minute of play. After 82 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. Brannik's Stefan Pierson got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stefan Pierson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, İslam Hirfanlı had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that İslam Hirfanlı was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-0. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenico Knutson in the 95th minute of the match.
