The corner went over the outstretched arms of Sporting Clube Patrício's goalie and right to Emmanuel Reyes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Sporting Clube Patrício's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Portugal in the 22nd minute of play. Ademar Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 23rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Julian Murillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ademar Azevedo. That made the score 2-0 after 26 minutes of play. Ademar Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 30th minute of play. Ademar Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luz Tejedor in the 31st minute. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 43rd minute. The corner ended in Luz Tejedor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sporting Clube Patrício's Ademar Azevedo did a great save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Sporting Clube Patrício's Alişan Bağışhan was substituted for Olaf Brataniec. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomás Portugal made a kick off. Ademar Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milagros Fraga in the 57th minute of play forced Sporting Clube Patrício's goalkeeper Ademar Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Sporting Clube Patrício's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tomás Portugal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. In the 64th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademar Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Luz Tejedor notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Sporting Clube Patrício's Ademar Azevedo. Ademar Azevedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Catarino Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Peru's Anthony Alvarado got a free kick in the 75th minute. With his leg Rolando Noboa managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Sporting Clube Patrício's Tomás Portugal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 83 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube Patrício's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Ademar Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Sporting Clube Patrício's attentive Manuel Lages managed to snatch the ball when Milagros Fraga made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. In the 88th minute Zarco Lameiras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Rafael Gallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by André Noronha in the 90 minute of the game. Sporting Clube Patrício's attentive Catarino Furtado managed to snatch the ball when Emmanuel Reyes made a throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game. Ademar Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Gallo in the 95th minute of play. Rafael Gallo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peru walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
