The supporters of Chile booed when Mechita F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pastor Taurino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herminio Lastur was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mariano Lacasa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herminio Lastur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 21 minutes into the match, Mechita F.C's goalkeeper Herminio Lastur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. 23 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Mechita F.C's Herminio Lastur. Herminio Lastur was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Chile's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mariano Lacasa in the 27th minute. The corner led to Chile's Orlando Casaus getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After some careless play in the Mechita F.C defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herminio Lastur. The Mechita F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herminio Lastur should have stopped the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herminio Lastur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Herminio Lastur in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariano Lacasa succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-0 in the 47th playminute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 76th minute of play forced Mechita F.C's goalkeeper Herminio Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85thth minute of the game Mariano Lacasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mechita F.C's Herminio Lastur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
