The referee ignored Mechita F.C's protests and gave Feliberto Cedro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Feliberto Cedro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herminio Lastur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kevin Mastache's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Lastur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Colombia booed when Mechita F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliberto Cedro didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 18th minute of play forced Mechita F.C's goalkeeper Herminio Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herminio Lastur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abram Sarmiento's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Nicolas Baristo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. A collision led to Mechita F.C getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Americo Arlo hit a great ball. In the 27th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Lastur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kevin Mastache struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Herminio Lastur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. After a rather tough play, Mechita F.C's Jimeno Luken got a free kick in the 30th minute. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Baristo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 36th minute, Abram Sarmiento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herminio Lastur was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the game, Pascual Carballar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colombia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mechita F.C the free kick. Pascual Carballar hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pastor Taurino was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Mechita F.C's Silvestre Chaime got a free kick in the 58th minute. Axel Montenegro, 61 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Montenegro in the 63rd minute. Axel Montenegro made a great header on Colombia's corner, it was just that Mechita F.C's Herminio Lastur managed to reach the ball for a save. Herminio Lastur was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Pascual Carballar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pascual Carballar really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 75th minute of play forced Mechita F.C's goalkeeper Herminio Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pascual Carballar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herminio Lastur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ignacio Mastache went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Robustiano Lizbeth got a throw-in 84 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Pastor Taurino. Herminio Lastur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 87th minute of play. Pascual Carballar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Herminio Lastur firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mechita F.C's Herminio Lastur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Secada in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Kevin Mastache went to the cornerflag to take it. Herminio Lastur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignacio Mastache got free with Herminio Lastur in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Mechita F.C's Herminio Lastur got control of the ball when Ignacio Mastache tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Colombia players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
