The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Falckner FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Lleir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Urbez in the 39th minute of play. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Silverio Mazuste kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Remigio Joanes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Puig, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Falckner FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Tasis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Alfonso Lluis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Falckner FC's Silverio Mazuste got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 69 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Lluis came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Edgardo Lleir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgardo Lleir received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Edgardo Lleir slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 76th minute. The Falckner FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. Aaron Alcocer kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Falckner FC's Alejandro Falcke got a free kick in the 87th minute. Remigio Joanes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 93 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. In the 96th minute, Jonas Urbez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 1-8. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Falckner FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
