Camilo Gaos's late challenge caught a Dinamo Tirana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Gaos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Dinamo Tirana booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Lizer in the 24th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Afonso Alagoano notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Teodor Caldueño hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Venezuela lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
