Hector Covarrubias was extremely unlucky when he, in the 23rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. 江震斌 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 27 minutes of play, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 江震斌 was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in 大隐隐于市's zone, Jaime Pardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 江震斌 came out of the goal and Jaime Pardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the game, Hector Covarrubias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 大隐隐于市 the free kick. In the 34th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Covarrubias to maneuver through the defense. When Jaime Pardo came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Pardo couldn't finish the play. 江震斌 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 45th minute of play. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 江震斌 having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 温伟镇 was the one to do the kick off. 江震斌 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Covarrubias in the 57th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Pardo in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 江震斌 saved 大隐隐于市 from getting behind. In the 65th minute, one of Paraguay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Paraguay. The crowd rose to their feet as 大隐隐于市's 温伟镇 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jacobo Nores. That made the score 3-1 after 66 minutes of play. Hector Covarrubias struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. 江震斌 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Paraguay had played much better football throughout.
