Tilili's Benito Illan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 17th minute of play. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Vicente Jakue kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. In the 53rd minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benito Illan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lautaro Mancebo had several of the Tilili's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 56 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Benito Illan as he didn't even see the shot coming. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Benito Illan made a huge save. 63 minutes into the match, Tilili's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Benito Illan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, Vicente Jakue got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tilili made a substitution. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Illan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tilili made a substitution. Fran Milo replaced Vicente Jakue. In the 95th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mexico played a much better game than Tilili and deserved their victory. The Tilili players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
