Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Adalberto Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Adalberto Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 9 played minutes O MOTIVO ⚽ got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Rosa. In the 10th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Bernardo de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Adalberto Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adalberto Figueiredo having to make a save. Samuca Garcia's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuca Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ecuador booed when O MOTIVO ⚽ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuca Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, O MOTIVO ⚽'s goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Adalberto Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adalberto Figueiredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Bernardo de Salles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. The supporters of Ecuador booed when O MOTIVO ⚽ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Maciel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Ecuador:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of O MOTIVO ⚽:s goal. When the match had been going on for 39 minutes, O MOTIVO ⚽'s Luís Linhares got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Julio Vera. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but O MOTIVO ⚽'s Adalberto Figueiredo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 48th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. O MOTIVO ⚽'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Adalberto Figueiredo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardo de Salles made a kick off. Juan Sebastián Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Adalberto Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho was extremely unlucky when he, in the 55th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 57th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo de Salles in the 60th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo de Salles in the 61st minute of play. After 62 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luís Linhares who took care of the corner kick. Adalberto Figueiredo was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Adalberto Figueiredo came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Adalberto Figueiredo made a huge save. 75 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Adalberto Figueiredo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adalberto Figueiredo came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. After 84th play minutes Cristian Sancho shot 1-8, a short shot which went by Adalberto Figueiredo and just under the crossbar into goal. Adalberto Figueiredo made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adalberto Figueiredo. Adalberto Figueiredo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-9. After having played for 92 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Figueiredo having to interfere. The O MOTIVO ⚽ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
