Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Ubaldo Fillol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 6 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ubaldo Fillol was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ubaldo Fillol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 10th minute of play. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ubaldo Fillol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Socorro in the 17th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ubaldo Fillol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Filial Los Canarios's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Daniel Zorita sped through Filial Los Canarios's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ubaldo Fillol. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ubaldo Fillol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Filial Los Canarios's goalie prevented a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Daniel Zorita scored 0-3 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ubaldo Fillol, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 46 played minutes Filial Los Canarios got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Venceslao.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonzalo Errando stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ubaldo Fillol firmly grabbed it by the left post. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Ubaldo Fillol made a huge save. In the 59th minute, Amadeo Venceslao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ubaldo Fillol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Juan Sebastián Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ubaldo Fillol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filial Los Canarios's Ubaldo Fillol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Filial Los Canarios from getting a goal against them. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ubaldo Fillol came out and tried to block the shot, but Felix Montenegro slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 72nd minute. After 77 minutes, Fermin Sein mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Filial Los Canarios and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Filial Los Canarios fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Ubaldo Fillol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Errando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gonzalo Errando in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Filial Los Canarios.
