In the 15th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oswaldo Ramos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chile's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arne Kruse was slow to take the kick. During this time Jumentus Rock Club's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Jumentus Rock Club's corner Arne Kruse fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Thiago Pliego quite easily take care of the ball. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomé de Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reinaldo Arce made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vagner Løve in the 51st minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswaldo Ramos made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Oswaldo Ramos in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
