The Espirillo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Iztal should have stopped the shot. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Elia in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Espirillo FC's Arnoldo Arotza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 32 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jorge Iztal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jorge Iztal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Iztal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jorge Iztal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Lautaro Mancebo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Iztal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Jorge Iztal made a huge save. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorio Hotz, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The coaching staff of Mexico protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Felix Luque had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 76th minute, one of Mexico:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mexico. Dante Lacasa went to the wrong direction when Rico Migachev was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorio Hotz, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Arturo Edwardo hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Espirillo FC's Jorge Iztal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Espirillo FC from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Elia in the 91st minute of the match. If Cristo Elia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Mexico supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
