Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Julian Murillo kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Peru booed when Belgrano de Pibasog was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Jaunzuria didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Raggio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Raggio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luz Tejedor received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bernardo Raggio came out and tried to block the shot, but Luz Tejedor slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. Julian Murillo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Bernardo Raggio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Judas Verón struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgrano de Pibasog. 22 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's goalkeeper Bernardo Raggio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. 24 minutes into the match, Judas Verón notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bernardo Raggio was a little too slow when Julian Murillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-1. 30 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Bernardo Raggio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Maximiano Delgado in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Eliseo Mina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Bernardo Raggio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Judas Verón kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Silvio Abadia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Judas Verón, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Judas Verón made a kick off. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvio Abadia in the 51st minute of play. Milagros Fraga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardo Raggio having to make a save. With an all-out effort, Belgrano de Pibasog's Rolando Noboa threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Judas Verón, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bernardo Raggio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Belgrano de Pibasog's Bernardo Raggio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 64th minute of play. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Judas Verón's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Belgrano de Pibasog's Iulian Ilinca was substituted for Judas Verón. Bernardo Raggio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardo Raggio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Reyes to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Gallo in the 91st minute of play forced Belgrano de Pibasog's goalkeeper Bernardo Raggio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Gallo came free, but Bernardo Raggio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Despite being the better team, Peru failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
