With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Judas Verón tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Santino Seco hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Belgrano de Pibasog's Eustaquio Fortun shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 9th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Pedro Manzanares but with some difficulty. Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Judas Verón managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgrano de Pibasog's supporters rose to their feet, but Judas Verón was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute, Judas Verón made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Axel Montenegro scored 1-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardo Raggio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Judas Verón had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bernardo Raggio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 31st minute of play. Silvio Abadia struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgrano de Pibasog. 35 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Bernardo Raggio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Colombia booed when Belgrano de Pibasog was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blue Dolar didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Bernardo Raggio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 39th minute of play forced Belgrano de Pibasog's goalkeeper Bernardo Raggio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Raggio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abram Sarmiento's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Bernardo Raggio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 42nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kevin Mastache during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Mastache. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Judas Verón's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Belgrano de Pibasog's Bernardo Raggio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Belgrano de Pibasog from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 60th minute of play forced Belgrano de Pibasog's goalkeeper Bernardo Raggio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Judas Verón, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. A sloppy throw-in by Clemente Gaizkine in the 73rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. Bernardo Raggio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascual Carballar in the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Judas Verón had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Judas Verón was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Colombia's attentive Antonio Indiano managed to snatch the ball when Clemente Gaizkine made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. In the 84th minute, Colombia's Abram Secada ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bernardo Raggio. Bernardo Raggio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Iulian Ilinca took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. In the 89th minute, Antonio Indiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Ilinca in the 91st minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Belgrano de Pibasog had won after a very even match.
