La France's Prospero Ovando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save La France from getting a goal against them. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tymoteusz Cetnar in the 17th minute of play. Aaron Barrios hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 23 minutes, Miguel Miralles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama and the La France players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Miguel Miralles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isidoro Sarmiento in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Prospero Ovando prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half La France were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Berganza made a kick off. Prospero Ovando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 53rd minute of the match. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Tymoteusz Cetnar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Cotilla was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Prospero Ovando was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 83 played minutes Tymoteusz Cetnar rounded Panama's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-3. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
