A well-hit corner resulted in Kay Oppenheim heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Rosio, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonides Rosio in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. In the 24th minute, Leonides Rosio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Lorenzo de Sarandi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Elias Honrio made a great header on San Lorenzo de Sarandi's corner, it was just that Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso managed to reach the ball for a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. San Lorenzo de Sarandi were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Uruguay for a fine match.
