In the 3rd minute Dušan Vlahović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moises Fernandino struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Milian Claudio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. When Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan's Dušan Vlahović in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Salvador's goalie prevented a goal. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan's Dušan Vlahović. But to his dismay, Dušan Vlahović quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Freddie Dahlman got a throw-in 22 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Wincenty Juroszek. Moises Fernandino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Milian Claudio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan's goalkeeper Milian Claudio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Fernandino. Abram Luque charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abram Luque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Fernandino got free with Milian Claudio in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 41 played minutes Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan got a freekick which was hit by Freddie Dahlman. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Marco Tamayo hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a rather tough play, Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan's Wincenty Juroszek got a free kick in the 55th minute. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Milian Claudio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Milian Claudio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 64 minutes into the game, Bela Estremiana threw the ball into play from the sideline. El Salvador's Jesus Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Dušan Vlahović let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 65th minute shot 2-2 at rihgt post. Milian Claudio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Moises Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddie Dahlman hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Piorno Barrasa in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by El Salvador's Jesus Carvallo. After 79 minutes, Freddie Dahlman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan and the El Salvador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddie Dahlman to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dušan Vlahović got free with Ricardo Zorita in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wincenty Juroszek in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abram Luque to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Carrete was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Salvador the free kick. A collision led to Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Rodolfo Carrete hit a great ball. The Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
