The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Uruguay. 傅鹏适 in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 孙强庭 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 19 in the game by 傅鹏适 from a close distance when the talented Joaquin Gayoso managed to make a qualified save. Uruguay's players were relieved. When 孙强庭 in the 20th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Joaquin Gayoso kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. 杜烨康 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by 傅鹏适 in the 37th minute. After 38 minutes Uruguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Argyris Skentzos who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Wool United's Argyris Skentzos to fire away a dangerous shot which Joaquin Gayoso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 杜烨康 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Wool United's 蔡悦彬 got a free kick in the 44th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Covarrubias. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 孙强庭, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 孙强庭's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. The corner ended in Argyris Skentzos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso did a great save. 孙强庭 might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 孙强庭 ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 89th minute 孙强庭 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rdth minute of the game 孙强庭 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 94 minutes into the game, one of Uruguay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Wool United a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by 孙强庭, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso. 5-0. Uruguay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
