A well-hit corner resulted in Juan Sebastián Puig heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Felix Montenegro came free with the goalkeeper in the 10th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jairo Abarca could save by the left post. In the 13th minute, Agustín Saelices reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jairo Abarca. The goal made the score 1-0. Reynaldo Lizer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dinamo Tirana's Jairo Abarca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Dinamo Tirana's Jairo Abarca. Jairo Abarca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita scored 4-0 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jairo Abarca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

55 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jairo Abarca. Dinamo Tirana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. A collision led to Dinamo Tirana getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Furman Abaunza hit a great ball. Dinamo Tirana's Jairo Abarca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 67th minute of play. Jairo Abarca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 72nd minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Dinamo Tirana's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Jairo Abarca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 范树正's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 范树正 helped the player get up and apologised. After 84 played minutes Dinamo Tirana got a freekick which was hit by 范树正. After a defensive mix-up in Dinamo Tirana's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jairo Abarca came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ecuador had played much better football throughout.
