The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 严俊朗 having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 严俊朗 was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Juan Rubio made in the 56th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Aaron Alcocer. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 严俊朗 having to interfere. Abel Carballo made in the 71st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Aaron Alcocer however managed to control. The throw-in from Abel Carballo in the 74th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by 上海嘉定鱼腩俱乐部队's 周城宁. The throw-in from Efrain Moruga in the 80th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by 上海嘉定鱼腩俱乐部队's 周城宁. In the 86th minute, Axel Tasis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 严俊朗 was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 上海嘉定鱼腩俱乐部队's 周城宁 quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Abel Carballo, made in the 91st minute of the game. Costa Rica walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
