Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 22nd play minutes Mattias Qvalfeldt shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Qvalfeldt in the 27th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Xu Yi Jian sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Qvalfeldt in the 31st minute of play. After 33 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Holer Nolan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pasachai Jitjai in the 39th minute of the match. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye The Gonzez's goalie prevented a goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xu Yi Jian was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xu Yi Jian's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. If Hjalmar Jakobsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Mattias Qvalfeldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to The Gonzez getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Marko Vennerberg hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Robert Carlsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Gonzez's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Carlsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of The Gonzez booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Holer Nolan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. Holer Nolan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 76th minute. Holer Nolan was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Tomas Illescas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tomas Illescas really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got his second yellow card of the match in the 89th minute. The referee ordered Patricio Costa off the ground. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Qvalfeldt in the 91st minute of play. When Pasachai Jitjai fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Gonzez's protests and gave Pasachai Jitjai a yellow card for diving instead. Pasachai Jitjai kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the game, one of Venezuela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Xu Yi Jian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
