Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. A.A FÊNIX's Silvano Lohitzun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of play. Felix Montenegro scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvano Lohitzun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silvano Lohitzun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 16th minute of the match. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Silvano Lohitzun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play. In the 25th minute of the match A.A FÊNIX got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bernardo Dantae ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Amancio Castulo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 29th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Lohitzun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mario Marquez's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Luis Andino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvano Lohitzun. A.A FÊNIX's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Andino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Elvio Fanuco hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 39th minute of play forced A.A FÊNIX's goalkeeper Silvano Lohitzun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvano Lohitzun was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

After 51 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silvano Lohitzun was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 53rd minute Humberto Haimar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Silvano Lohitzun in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felix Montenegro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Silvano Lohitzun firmly grabbed it by the left post. 62 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvano Lohitzun. A.A FÊNIX's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agustín Saelices was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After 68 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silvano Lohitzun was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amancio Castulo in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 79th minute, Amancio Castulo made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Silvano Lohitzun in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. During the 83rd minute of the match Elvio Fanuco completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Elvio Fanuco a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, A.A FÊNIX's Serafin Tancredo got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 86 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Silvano Lohitzun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. Mario Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silvano Lohitzun having to make a save. Silvano Lohitzun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amancio Castulo during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Amancio Castulo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
