José Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Peru booed when tHe SOnS of rAGnar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Åke Norling didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl-Åke Norling made in the 18th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Alexis Alexandris immediately put the ball in play. José Sá came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 28 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Alvarado. 31 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexis Alexandris. The supporters of Peru booed when tHe SOnS of rAGnar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giannis Papoutsakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind tHe SOnS of rAGnar's goalkeeper José Sá, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 43 minutes into the match, tHe SOnS of rAGnar's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but José Sá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Peru were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. José Sá stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walter Giardino in the 67th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Sá breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. 87 minutes into the match, Peru's Milagros Fraga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Sá narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Milagros Fraga took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for José Sá to make any attempt to save it. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walter Giardino in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Walter Giardino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fiz Biembengén in the 93 minute of the game. José Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Gallo in the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than tHe SOnS of rAGnar.
