The tension between the Ecuador and the Deportivo Pomelo Nenene players grew even worse after the yellow card. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Liu Feng Guang was substituted for Danial Boon. After 12 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Liu Feng Guang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's supporters rose to their feet, but Liu Feng Guang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Liu Feng Guang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albino Maiorga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Dalmacio Naike got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th match minute, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Feo to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexandre Tepedino to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 57 minutes, Liu Feng Guang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liu Feng Guang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 64th minute of play forced Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's goalkeeper Albino Maiorga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Alexandre Tepedino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Albino Maiorga quite easily take care of the ball. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
