Basílio Cunha made in the 26th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Pio Echavarri immediately put the ball in play. When Bernard Dyczkowski came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Tormenta EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernard Dyczkowski couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute, Magno Garcia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Magno Garcia made a kick off. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Bernard Dyczkowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tormenta EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Garcia in the 60th minute of play. After 61 played minutes Tormenta EC got a freekick which was hit by Pio Echavarri. Magno Garcia hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 65 minutes in the game Basílio Cunha did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Beto França. The audience was convinced that Magno Garcia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 68th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Tormenta EC's Magno Garcia. But to his dismay, Magno Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After 75 played minutes Tormenta EC got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Cunha. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 81st minute. Tormenta EC made a substitution. Lenílson Carneiro replaced Beto França. In the 85th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Tormenta EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magno Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Augusto Demaria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute Magno Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tormenta EC were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Oscar Saldanha took the corner. In the 98th minute, Lenílson Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tormenta EC had won after a very even match.
