The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Tor Holm made a huge save. In the 17th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Hisingstads BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. 19 minutes into the match, Hisingstads BK's Szymon Parzysz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Jamie Slegers came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Szymon Parzysz in the 24th minute of play. Tor Holm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 25th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anders Kruse in the 43rd minute of play. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Tor Holm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Hisingstads BK's Martin Palmquist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Hisingstads BK made a substitution. Erik Friberg replaced Jasper Gerseke. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Szymon Parzysz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martin Palmquist scored 2-3 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anders Kruse in the 95th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Mexico supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hisingstads BK's performance. The match ended with a win for Hisingstads BK.
