Marcial Ourente scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Efrain Guillem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. A collision led to Flores Arlt getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Gerardo Bedoya hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Flores Arlt's Enzo Erruki got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute of the match Axel Montenegro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Efrain Guillem showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Simon Fertus kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Ourente in the 27th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abram Sarmiento struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Efrain Guillem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. Efrain Guillem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Efrain Guillem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 40th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Colombia's Santino Seco managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gerardo Bedoya in the 51 minute of the game. In the 55th minute, Marcial Ourente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Efrain Guillem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 59th minute of the match. Flores Arlt made a substitution. Sabin Răchită replaced Marcial Ourente. The corner led Colombia's Pascual Carballar to fire away a dangerous shot which Efrain Guillem despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. In the 69th minute of the game Luis Cazalla made a throw-in which Kevin Mastache played forward. After 71 minutes, Sabin Răchită made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Flores Arlt's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kevin Mastache took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Pascual Carballar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Efrain Guillem quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 82nd minute, Abram Secada ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Efrain Guillem was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The Colombia fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Colombia's Abram Secada looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Abram Secada struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Efrain Guillem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. The Colombia players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
