After 5 minutes of play, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hilario Ramos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cosme Shantala made in the 11th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene were furious when Damian Damario was red carded, 12 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Deportivo Pomelo Nenene! After a rather tough play, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Leonardo Lluciano got a free kick in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Ramos came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 19 minutes, Alberto Gisbert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Gisbert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Leonardo Lluciano fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's protests and gave Leonardo Lluciano a yellow card for diving instead. Leonardo Lluciano hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hilario Ramos saved Deportivo Pomelo Nenene from getting behind. Gaspar Cedro hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Francisco Seco put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Hilario Ramos. Jaime Cazalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hilario Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 38th minute of the match. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Ramos having to interfere. Fulgencio Javiero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Francisco Seco made the kick off in the second half. Francisco Secos short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Hilario Ramos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 58th minute Micky Capusotto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Hilario Ramos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Pomelo Nenene from getting a goal against them. 59 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hilario Ramos. Francisco Seco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. With a little luck, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Hilario Ramos got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's goalkeeper Hilario Ramos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Beldad. After 66 played minutes Deportivo Pomelo Nenene got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Cedro. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's goalkeeper Hilario Ramos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Hilario Ramos made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Francisco Seco scored to the left of an out of position Hilario Ramos, making the score, 0-6. A hard shot 95 in the game by Francisco Seco from a close distance when the talented Hilario Ramos managed to make a qualified save. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's players were relieved. Hilario Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Uruguay left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Deportivo Pomelo Nenene.
